Assume you went to some site and saw a product which you liked and you gave it +1 or a positive comment or vice verse. Now Google will use this ratings and comments, they will show it to all your people in your Circle.
What’s the benefit?
You may be wondering that what’s the benefit to Google with this or what’s harm to you? So the answer to this is that people in your circle will assume that you bought that particular thing and as they know you so they will trust your ratings too. In this way they will surely click on that ad and thus Google makes his/her money.
So what to do now? Well, we have a solution to that too. Yes, there is a simple and easy way to stop your profile occurring in those ads with rating. Follow the steps below carefully.

How to remove your account from Ads?
- You need to login in to your Google Plus account. After doing so go this link where you will see a page with heading “Shared Endorsements”.
- Now at the bottom of the page you will see a checked box which states that “Based upon my activity, Google may show my name and profile photo in shared endorsements that appear in ads.” Just uncheck that box and click on save.
- And it’s done.
Now your profile will not come up in Ads if you have given ratings for them. I hope this helped you to opt out of Google’s new ad policy.
