Blackberry Passport:
Once reputed handset maker, Blackberry, bulged into the market with a phablet which is too wide and grotesque in the name of Passport. Eventually, it went unnoticed in no time. It was a deadly attempt by Blackberry to introduce a square phablet which is quite troublesome to type and to fit in pocket.
Amazon Fire:
Amazon which holds the largest market share in online shopping failed to connect to as many geeks with its Fire phone. It has 720p resolution powered by a poor battery.
Aereo:
Renting an antenna is something beyond imagination but still Aereo sprung with this innovative theory of leasing an antenna for $8-$12 per month that enables the users to record and watch their favorite shows on laptops or phones. But the broadcasters alleged to Supreme Court that Aereo violated the copy rights and stole their programs. The apex court gave a big blow after few hearings and eventually Aereo disappeared from the market.
Microsoft Kinect 2.0:
One more disastrous gaming console from Microsoft. In spite of geeky features like voice recognition, it failed to attract gamers.
Android Wear:
Difficulty in use and complexity to operate remains as absolute reasons why the smart watch faded out of the market. The music player is designed in such a way that one needs to navigate to next page to find playing options. This is enough to say how pathetic it is when comes to accessing.
Google Glass:
It’s awkward to wear such a glass and hang out with friends to a shopping or a picnic. Google miserably failed to reach common people with this superficial eye wear.
Asus Transformer Book Duet TD300:
The Windows-Android combo notebook from Asus was not able to get into the people, not because of the specification as they rock for any notebook but with the necessity to keep it updated with both the operating systems’s latest versions.
Sony play station TV:
It serves more as gaming instrument rather than a box office. Sony even failed to make this TV compatible in playing 1080p and the gaming experience is way below the standards.
Softcard:
Formerly known as ISIS, this mobile payment service needed a special sim card from your carrier to enable your windows or android phone to pay at selected POS. Not just that, it also needed an app and credentials to access it.
Firefox Phones
Cheap, inexpensive, Open Source and what not. But the reality is that Firefox Phones have failed to get the attention. When Mozilla first announced $25 smartphones for emerging markets in developing countries like Brasil and India, expectations were high. But at the end of 2014, dim sales stats tells you the story.
