Lumia 535 is the first Windows Phone to bear Microsoft branding after it’s acquisition of Nokia’s smart phone division. Lumia 535 is the successor of the famous Lumia 525. Budget phones are usually targeted towards emerging markets like Asia.

Lumia 535 has a 5″ qHD IPS display with 220 ppi pixel density. It’s not quite a beast considering the fact that it is a budget phone. It is also furnished with a Corning Gorilla glass 3 which protects the screen from visible scratches. Considering the predecessor, the Lumia 525, It is a huge upgrade in terms of display.

Lumia 535 is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad core Snapdragon 200 processor. It’s not a great one, but it can run the phone smooth without any lag, considering the fact that Windows Phone OS is highly optimised for any devices. It is fueled by a 1905 mAH battery.

Lumia 535 is stuffed with an 8 GB internal storage. Not a huge amount of storage space (Available storage will be around 5 GB). Inclusion of a Micro SD slot fulfills the necessity. It can be expanded up to 128 GB.

Lumia 535 includes all the basic sensors such as Ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and Accelerometer. Absence of Magnetometer doesn’t brings up a huge calamity, since this is a budget phone. Absence of Magnetometer in Lumia 525 should also be noted.
Camera:
The major selling point in this device is its camera. It includes a 5 MP Rear and 5 MP Front camera, which is quite a beast. It can be called as a Selfie Phone, and inclusion of this is a major plus point in Microsoft’s Market strategy. Microsoft boasts its Front camera as Wide angled lens. Although compared to Lumia 730, the picture quality is somewhat grainy.
Inclusion of Flash is a major improvement to its predecessor, since it lacked its presence.
Finally, It comes with Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 with Lumia Denim firmware. It comes in 6 different colours. It comes under two variants, Single Sim and Dual Sim versions.
