This sexy Russian girl was born on 16 February, 1989 and is a “Money Mule” hacker. For those who don’t know, Money Mule is a person who transfers money acquired illegally (like stolen). She’s a student of New York University and was accused for stealing money from several British and U.S. banks and also for using false passports. She was arrested under charge of working for Illegal Program spy ring under the external intelligence agency “SVR (Sluzhba Vneshney Razvedki)” of Russian Federation. She was made guilty for a conspiracy to act as an agent of foreign government without notifying US Attorney General. After that she was deported back to Russia on 8 July, 2010 under a Prisoner Swap.

Joanna Rutkowska:

Joanna Rutkowska is a Polish girl and is a Computer Security Researcher. She’s not a malicious, evil hacker but a good one. She’s known for her research on Low-Level Security and Stealth Malware. Her popularity came after her presentation at Black Hat Briefings Conference in Las Vegas in August 2006. In that presentation Rutkowska attacked the protection mechanism of Windows Vista System and also presented a technique “Blue Pill”. For her research she was also named under one of the “Five Hackers who Put a Mark on 2006” by eWeek Magazine. Best ways to free Hard Disk Space on Windows?

No matter how big your Hard Disk is, one day will definitely come when it’ll be completely full. And that day you’ll be dying to get some free space. There’s an option of buying another Hard Disk but many people can’t due to their own personal or financial reasons.

So I’m listing some effective ways by which you can free up some space for your important files or softwares by removing unwanted and unimportant files.

Disk Cleanup:

First step of cleaning space is “Disk Cleanup”. Windows provide us a built-in tool to delete the temporary files and unimportant data from the hard disk. You can access this tool by using any of the way below:
– Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup
or
– Got to “My Computer”, then right click on the Hard Drive you want free space from and click on “Properties”. You’ll see a window showing General properties by default. Click on “Disk Cleanup” button.
Now as you have accessed the Disk Cleanup tool, you’ll see the “Disk Cleanup” window scanning the hard drive. You can select the type of files you want to delete under “Files to delete:” option. Now click on “OK” and the cleaning process will start.
If the amount of space you gained is not enough for you, you can also clean up System Files. For that, click on “Clean up system files” button. A new tab will open showing two options to cleanup space. First is “Programs and Features” and second is “System Restore and Shadow Copies”. Click on “Clean up” button under second option of System Restore. This will remove all but the most recent restore point.
Disk Defragmentation:

“Disk Defragmentation” is something which makes your computer fast more efficient. It reduces the amount of fragmentation in file systems. You can access this tool from Start>All Programs>Accessories> System Tools>Disk Defragmentation. Now select the hard drive you want to defragment and click on “Defragment disk”. Defragmentation will start.
Delete Temporary Files:

Using “Disk Cleanup” is good to remove unnecessary files, but it does not delete the temporary files of other programs. A browser’s caches can consume large space of your hard disk, which Disc Cleaner can’t delete. So for such operations, use “CCleaner”.
You can download CCleaner from here. Install and launch the tool and then click on “Run Cleaner”. The CCleaner will clean all the temporary and junk files including the temporary files of any third party application.
Uninstall useless and space occupying Software and Applications:

It will be really effective to remove the useless applications. Some programs consume less space and some consume more. You can see a list of programs and applications of your computer and their size details too from “Program and Features” tool. You can find this tool in Control Panel.
But this list is not always accurate. Some programs may not show the exact size they actually use and in some cases, no size information at all. So in such case, it’s better to use third party software. I’m talking about a hard disk analysis programs, which scans all your hard disk and show you exactly that which folders and files using the more space. Those type of files too which Programs and Features can’t show.
There are many hard disk analysis tools available on the internet like SpaceSniffer, DiskSavvy, WinDirStat, TreeSize Free, Disktective etc. But in this guide I’ll be showing you about the tool I use i.e. “WiniDirstat”.
You can download WinDirStat from its official website. Install and launch the tool and then scan the hard drive. After complete scanning, you’ll see list of different files and folders with their exact details including the size. Now you can delete all the useless data and programs which you don’t use. Keep in mind that you don’t delete any important file.

Delete Duplicate Data:

There’s a possibility that you might have some duplicate files and folders in your hard disk. You can find such duplicate files by using any duplicate file finder tool. There are many tools available on the internet but once again I’ll showing you about the tool I use i.e. “dupeGuru”.
You can download dupeGuru from Hardcoded Software. This tool is available for both 32-bit and 64-bit windows users. Install and launch the application and then scan the hard drive. After complete scanning, you’ll see a list of all duplicate files. Now you can delete those files keeping only one of the two duplicate file.

Leave Less Drive Space for System Restore:

System Restore keeps the previous copies of files and restore points from which your computer restore from. But this feature may not be that important for you. If so, then you can reduce the amount of drive space usable for system restore.
Unlike Windows Vista where you’ll need to use a command line which is quite difficult, Windows 7 provides a very easy way of managing the drive space for system restore.For Windows 7 users:Right click on “My Computer” and select “Properties”. Now a System Panel will appear where you’ll have to click on “System Protection” on the left side.

A “System Properties” window will appear with “System Protection” tab by default. Now click on the hard drive you want to manage disk space of and then click on the “Configure” button.
Now you’ll see another window where you can manage “Restore Settings” and “Disk Space Usage”. You can “Turn off the system protection” or change to “Only restore previous versions of files”. Using the slider in font off “Max Usage:” you can reduce the drive space usable for system restore. You’ll also see a “Delete” button which is to delete all restore points, but we’ve already done it “Disk Cleanup”.
For Windows Vista users: You need to open Command Prompt in administrator mode. Click on “Start” and type “cmd” in search bar. Open the Command Prompt “cmd” listed in search results. Right click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator. Your Command Prompt may already be running as Administrator by default.
Now Type: vssadmin list shadowstorage
You’ll get all the information about how much space system restore is using. Now to change the disk space for system restore,
Type: vssadmin Resize ShadowStorage /For=C: /On=C: /Maxsize=2GB
In the above command, you can change the “For” and “On” drives and “Maxsize” accordingly.

Guide To Crack Screen Unlock Pattern On An Android Device

Forgot the unlock pattern in Android?

Security and Protection is really important these days and that’s why Android devices provide us with some great security options to keep your device and personal data safe from others who use our device without our permission. We use different screen lock methods like pattern lock, password or pin. Today I’m going to talk about only Pattern lock and how to hack the unlock pattern in Android device if you forgot it.

There could be several reasons that you may forget the lock pattern in your smartphone. Specially if you try to use the lock pattern after a long time. To help us in such a type of a problem, a XDA Developers member m.sabra has provided us a way to hack the unlock pattern of an Android device.

In this tutorial I’ll try to show you how to crack screen unlock pattern on an android device.

Warnings:

We are not responsible for any damage to your device. Do it on your own risk.
We are not responsible if anyone using this method for hacking your device.
This method is for educational purpose only. This method may work for some devices and may not for others.

Precautions:

Keep the Back Up of all your personal data to avoid any loss.
Charge your device before you start the process.

Requirements:

Your Android device should be USB Debugging enabled.
For devices running on latest Android versions, you can find the “USB Debugging” option in Settings>Developer Options.
For devices running on old Android versions, you can find the “USB Debugging” option in Settings>Applications>Development.
It’s good if your device is rooted (you can follow this guide to root an android device). But this method can also work on devices which are not rooted.
ADB installed Windows Computer: Install Android SDK from here. ADB will install along with it.
USB cable of your device.

Instructions:

First of all, connect your device with your Computer using USB cable.
Now click on start and write “cmd” in the search bar. You’ll find a “cmd.exe” file. Open it, the Command Prompt window will appear.
Now type the following commands in the Command Prompt window. Press “Enter” after every line. (Note: After you type the first line and enter it, the Command Prompt window should display “#” instead of “$”. If you’re seeing “$”, then type “su” to switch to the root user.)
adb shell
cd /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases
sqlite3 settings.db
update system set value=0 where name=’lock_pattern_autolock';
update system set value=0 where name=’lockscreen.lockedoutpermanently';
.quit
Now you’re device will reboot.
Enter the following command in the Command Prompt and press enter:
adb shell rm /data/system/gesture.key
You’re device will reboot again.
After the complete reboot, your device will display the pattern lock screen. Enter any pattern and you’re device will be unlocked.
Now after unlocking the device, make sure to go to security settings and change the pattern lock.

The Windows 8 UI is so different than Android or iOS and has a refreshing feel around it. In this article, I’ll show you how to make Android phone look like Windows Phone.

Android market is full of various amazing apps. And one of those is “Launcher 8” by developers “QiHang Dev Team”. This launcher is best to experience the Windows 8 UI on your Android Smartphone. It’s a smooth and beautiful customizable launcher which will give you proper feeling of having a Windows phone.

The “Launcher 8” is available for download on . I don’t think I need to tell you how to install this app. But I’ll certainly show you how to use it.

Changing the look of Android phone with Launcher 8:

Full Windows 8 UI:

Add Different Size Tiles:

Save and Restore the Theme:

Edit the Start Screen Layout:

You can also edit the layout of the screen. Go to menu and tap on “Edit”. Now you can adjust the layout and other settings.

Set the Current Background Style:

The Background style and color can be adjusted. From menu, tap on “Themes” and then on “Background color”. There you can set the color “White” or “Black”. You can also set the “System Wallpaper”, which you can adjust from “System wallpaper” option under “Theme” options.

Switch the application list style or grid style:

If you swipe the home screen from right to left, you will see all the applications in the list style. You can set style to grid from menu.

Hide apps:

You can also hide the apps. When you’re on list view, choose “Hidden apps” from the menu. From there you can select the apps you want to hide.

Add Android widgets in the Tiles:

From the main screen, go to menu and tap on “Add”. You can add widgets, apps, shortcuts and a new folder.

Set the wp8 style lock screen and status bar:

Again go to “Theme” option in menu. There swipe from left to right and you’ll see “LockScreen” options. There you can set the Launcher 8 lockscreen and manage other related settings like Lockscreen wallpaper, font color, sound, password and styles.

You can also set the Status bar from there. Tap on “Statusbar” and then on “Notification app”. There select the apps you want to receive notifications from.

Select more than One Hundred kinds of Theme Colors:

You can also set the colors of the tiles from “Theme” options.

Add special features tiles, like tile time, flashlight, pictures and contact photo:

Guide to Unlock Bootloader of HTC EVO 4G LTE

Many users often unlock the Bootloaders of their Smartphones to install custom ROMs or to root their device. It’s been about two years ago when HTC’s CEO Pete Chou confirmed that the company will not lock the bootloaders of their devices any more. But since then, it’s only HTC One Developer Edition which has an unlocked bootloader.

So we still have to unlock the bootloaders of other HTC devices. In this guide we are talking about the HTC EVO 4G LTE. I’ll explain the instructions briefly that how we can unlock the bootloader of not only HTC EVO 4 G LTE, but other HTC Smartphones too. We’ll be using the method provided by the company.

Warnings:

Unlocking the bootloader may void the warranty of the Smartphone
This guide is suitable for only HTC EVO 4G LTE and for some other HTC devices too. Don’t try this guide for devices of other manufacturers.
We are not responsible for any damage to your device. Do it at your own risk.

Precautions:

Keep the Back Up of all your data as unlocking the bootloader will reset your device to factory settings.
Charge your device before you start the unlocking process.
Reset Google Wallet if you have an NFC equipped device, it’s to prevent the risk of bricking of your device.

Requirements:

Windows running Computer System.
HTC Sync: Download for Windows here.
Android SDK: Download it from here.
Java

Instructions:

First Half:

Go to HTCdev website and register there.
After complete registration, Log in and click on “Unlock Bootloader” and then on “Get Started”.
Now you’ll be directed to a page where you’ll be asked to select the device you want to unlock. Click on the “Select Your Device” dropdown menu, but you’ll not find the “HTC EVO 4G LTE” in the list. So select the “All Other Supported Models” (you’ll find it at the end of the list). Now click on “Begin Unlock Bootloader”.
You’ll see a window asking you to confirm that you surely want to unlock the bootloader of your device. Click on “YES”.
Now, in order to continue you’ll have to accept the two Legal Terms. Check the both boxes and then click on “Proceed to Unlock Instructions”.

Second Half:

As the HTC EVO 4g LTE has a non-removable battery, you’ll have to restart your device by long pressing the “Power Key” and then selecting the “Restart”. Now while the device restarting, hold down the “Volume Down” button to start the device in Bootloader mode.
Now use the “Volume Buttons” to move the Highlight to the “FASTBOOT” and then press the “Power Button”.
Connect your device to the Computer via a USB Cable.
Now run the “SDK Manager” which is an “.exe” file. You can find it from: C Drive>Program Files>Android>android-sdk-windows.
You’ll see a window with number of packages for you to update. You need to install “Android SDK Platform” Tools and “Android SDK Tools”.
After complete installation, find the following files and copy them to a new folder i.e. “C:\Android-sdk”.
– “adb.exe” and “AdbWinApi.dll”. You can find these file from: C Drive>Program Files>Android>android-sdk-windows>platform-tools.
– “fastboot.exe”. Find this file from: C Drive>Program Files>Android>android-sdk-windows>tools.
[Note: In latest Windows Android Tools release, the “fastboot.exe” file could be unavailable. In such case, extract the file from pervious release here.]
Now go to “Start” and write “cmd” in the search bar.
You’ll find “cmd.exe” file. Open it; the “Command Prompt” window will appear.
Now navigate to the folder you just created by typing “cd c:\Android-sdk” in the Command Prompt.
Now type “fastboot oem get_identifier_token” in the Command Prompt and press Enter.
You’ll see some text. Now Right Click on the Command Prompt window and select “Mark”. Now highlight the text as shown below in the picture. (Starting from “<<<< Identifier cut following message >>>>” and ending to “<<<<< Identifier Token End >>>>>”. Don’t highlight the text on the right side of every line. It could be “INFO” or “”.)
Now again Right Click on the Title Bar, go to “Edit” and click on “Copy”. The text you just copied is called “Token”.
Go to HTCdev website, at the Bottom of the third page of instructions of Unlocking Bootloader you’ll find “My Device Identifier Token:” field. Paste the “Token” in that field and click on “Submit”.
You’ll receive an Email containing the Unclock Code Binary File (a “.bin” file). Download it.
Put the downloaded file in the SDk directory.
Type “fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin” in the Command Prompt.
Now you’ll see a disclaimer, just accept it and your device will be Unlocked.

Make Older Gingerbread Android Device Look Like Ice Cream Sandwich [Without Rooting]

Do you own any older Android device running on Froyo or Gingerbread? So it’s better to have at least Ice Cream Sandwich in this era of Jelly Bean. I’m not saying that you can change the operating system to Ice Cream Sandwich, but you can change the looks of your operating system. Yes, I am going to tell you how to make older Gingerbread or Froyo android devices look like Ice Cream Sandwich, without rooting.

What I’m talking about is “Holo Launcher” made by a senior member mobint at XDA-Developer. This Launcher is a simple, powerful, fast and highly customizable home replacement launcher. This launcher neither needs a rooted device to run nor consume much battery. It also uses very low memory of your device. The average rating of Holo Launcher at Google Play Store is 4.6 with 17,878 “5 star” ratings out of 23,793 which itself is a proof of its popularity.

It works smoothly on devices with operating system of Android 2.2 or above. You can download it from .

Holo launcher covers most of the features (in looks) of ICS.

Transfer Files between your Android device and Computer without using any Data Cable (Wirelessly)

Whenever we wish to copy some stuff from our computer to our Android device or vice versa, we have to connect the Android device with the computer by using a data cable. And has to do it every time when we have something to transfer, which is really bothering.

So you must be wondering that is there any way to transfer files between your Android device and computer without data cable? And the answer is yes, there’s a way. But the condition is that your Android device and computer must be connected to same WiFi network. We’ll be using an app “AirDroid” from Google Play Store.

Steps to use AirDroid to wireless transfer of files between Android and any OS:

First of all, go to the . Open the app and install it on your Android device.

After the complete installation, launch the app. Now, there are two ways to connect your device with computer. First by “Signing up/Registration” and second by “Scanning the QR code”.

Connecting by “Signing up/Registration”:

After launching the AirDroid app on your device, you’ll be asked to “Sign in or register” or to “Skip” the registration. Choose “Sign in or Register”.

You can register via your Google, Facebook or Twitter account. Complete the registration.

Now go to “web.airdroid.com“. You’ll see a window asking to Sign in. Enter your Email and password and click on Sign in. Keep in mind that before you Sign in to “web.airdroid.com”, first Sign in to AirDroid app in your device. Otherwise your device will not connect to your computer. After successful Sign in, your device will connect to your computer.

Connect by “Scanning QR code”:

When you launch the AirDroid app on your device, skip the registration.

You’ll see a camera button at the bottom with text “Scan QR Code”. Click on it.

Now go to “web.airdroid.com”. You’ll see a window with a QR Code on its right side. Scan the code from you device and your device will connect to your computer.

Now after your device is connected, you’ll be directed to a page showing icons like Messages, Music, Files, Call Logs, Camera etc. on left side and other information like memory and free space on right side.

To transfer any file from your computer to your device, click on “File” on the right side of the page. You can either drag & drop the files or folders you want to copy over there as show in the image below. Or you can select the file by clicking on the blue button (see the image below). You can also select the destination folder in your device where you want to transfer your file by clicking on dark black button (see the image below).

There’s another way to transfer files to your device. Open the “Files” folder from the icons and the go to the folder where you want to transfer your file. Click on upload and then either drag & drop or select the files/folders from “Select Files” or “Select Folder” button.

Now to transfer files from your device to computer, it’s about downloading them. Just open “Files”, right click on the file or folder you want to transfer to your computer and click on Download. Instead of right clicking on the file, you can directly click on the download button at the top right of the window. Folders and multiple files will download as a Zip file.

There are a lot other things we can do from “AirDroid” app. We can send and receive SMSs directly from your computer which means we don’t even need to touch our device to reply someone. We can also make phone calls, push URLs and share clipboards to our device. We can take pictures from our device; by clicking on camera icon you’ll able to see the camera screen on your computer. Also, we can locate and lock our Android device and swipe all of the data if it’s lost.

So overall, the “AirDroid” is an amazing app making our life a little easier. The beauty is that it works with any operating system. So you can easily connect to your computer without any software suite. It will also help you in case when Android device is not recognized by Linux. What do you think about this app?
