Review

Nokia Lumia 520 looks pretty good and viable for those who wish to have affordable smart phones. The star attraction is, of course, its Windows Mobile 8 technology which itself is a market leader.

Lumia 520’s comes with unique feature called Digital Lens allows the users to add motions to images. But the 5.0 mega pixel camera is of little concern when compared to those available in 720, 820 & 920. But experts are of the opinion that Digital Lens technique would allow the users to take panoramic images with this low-resolution camera too.

Its ultra slim structure makes the mobile phone to weight just around 124gms which quite impressive. Lumia 520 comes in five vivid colors i.e. red, black, cyan, yellow and white.

Lumia 520’s 1 GHz dual core processor called as Snapdragon S4, Adreno 305 GPU are fair enough to carry out multitasking at a commendable speed. Its default storage is 8GB which is similar to 720 and supports microSD cards up to 64GB. This is another impressive feature of Lumia 520.

Nokia’s smart apps like Nokia Music, Cinemagraph and Creative Studio are sure shots of entertainment and can pump up user’s creativity.

4” screen is comparatively low in resolution with 480×800. But the clarity is maintained by Nokia’s exclusive technology called ClearBlack technology.

Lumia 520’s standard talk-time capacity is 9.5 hours and standby time is 360 hours. These figures relatively sound good.

Connectivity features of Lumia 520 are fairly impressive. The options are like Bluetooth, WLAN IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, integrated aGPS, micro USB and USB 2.0.

Pricing

In India, Nokia Lumia 520 costs approximately around INR 10,400/- . This price is quite affordable as the buyers would be getting a smart phone supported with Windows Mobile 8 technology that is otherwise on higher side of the value.

Nowadays it is quite common for people of all age groups to crave and buy the latest and most popular models of cell phones in the market. When cell phones get used and worn out, usually people end up throwing them away which is ultimately disastrous to the environment. There are many companies in the United States of America which take care of this procedure and recycle such old phones. One of the companies which has been a veteran in the recycling industry is PaceButler. Click here to visit Pacebutler as the best service which buys old cell phones.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Rumor Roundup

galaxy s4 teaser image

Samsung is all set to unveil the next Galaxy S phone this Thursday in New York City and we are here with all the latest rumors to give you an idea of what to expect this Wednesday. The Galaxy S4 is considered as one of the most anticipated gadgets of this year so tons of rumors are piling up before the launch event. The next Galaxy S phone is expected to come up with some great feature that will not only top its current Galaxy S phone but will also be ready to compete with the next iPhone and other Android phones.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Design

galaxy S4

We’ve seen plenty of leaked images and rumors so far about the design of Galaxy S4 and if these rumors are real, we can expect to see a slightly changed version of the Galaxy S3 apart from the larger screen. It will be made out of plastic and the sides of the device will be made from aluminium. We were expecting to see better material in its flagship devices but the company has done a good job so far with cheap plastic. If the leaked images are real, we can expect to see thinner bezel than we saw on the last Galaxy S device and attractive aluminium trim.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Specs

galaxy s4 rumors

The next Galaxy S phone is rumored to feature a big 4.99-inch screen like its Note cousins and a full HD display with 1920×1080 resolution. Such a big display would come with an amazing pixel density of around 441PPI which is more than the resolution of Apple’s Retina display technology and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Apple is also planning to offer a 5-inch screen in their next iPhone but we are not sure if this will be featured in the iPhone 5S or iPhone 6.

galaxy s4 unveiled

The Galaxy S4 will be packed with Quad-core 1.8GHz Cortex-A15 & Quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 processor (quad-coreprocessor in the U.S. version and eight-cores processor in the international version), Exynos 5 Octa 5410 chipset, a whopping 13-megapixel camera with 1080p video capturing feature, 2.1-megapixel front camera with 1080p video capturing feature, Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS and 2600 mAh battery. We are expecting to see a smarter camera and a more powerful processor in the next iPhone but we are not sure if it will be the same 8-megapixel camera with new technology or a camera with more megapixels.

Innovations to Look for

Samsung’s next big thing will feature an eye-tracking technology that will let you change pages by tracking your eyes. When your eyes will reach the bottom of a page, the smartphone will automatically go to the next page or show the next paragraph. It is also expected to feature wireless charging technology, a Passbook like app we saw in iOS for payment and touchless gestures for different actions.

That’s what we have learned about the next big thing from Samsung so far. We don’t know when it will go on sale but the launch event is on March 14 so we don’t have to wait for too long to find out.

leaked iPhone 5S image

A Chinese website has posted some leaked photos of the rumored iPhone 5S recently and they believe it’s a pre-production version of the next iPhone. Apple failed to protect it’s secret last time before the announcement of iPhone 5 so there is a fifty-fifty chance that these rumors are true. According to the rumors, we can expect to see the same taller screen, an improved camera with powerful LED flash, fingerprint sensor, full-HD display and color options like the latest iPod Touch.

Apple refused to comment on these rumors as usual so we have to wait for an official announcement to confirm these rumors.

It’s too much for a Chrome OS based device which is only good for using web-based apps and internet browsing.

Cookoo Watch

cookoo

We’ve seen smart watches before but Cookoo is slightly different. This smart watch can receive signals via Bluetooth from your cell phone and alert you for calls, calendar reminders, low battery and Facebook notifications. The phone runs for a year using a standard button-cell battery unlike other smart watches.

You can order this watch from Cookoo’s website for $130 or grab one from AT&T’s flagship store in Chicago. However, if you want to talk or check Facebook updates directly using your watches, this one is not for you.

What Gadgets to Get Your Special Someone on Valentine’s Day

Valentine Heart Electronic FunnyAs Valentine’s Day nears, couples are starting to browse through aisles and online sites in search of the perfect gift to present to their loved one. For the tech savvy at heart, there are a handful of gadgets that can bring joy during this special occasion. It is safe to say that gadgets have become an integral part of our lives. One way or another, people use some sort of technology on a day-to-day basis, whether they’re texting, emailing, browsing, watching movies, listening to songs, and further on. But with Valentine’s Day only transpiring once every year, it becomes even more important to make sure you get the perfect gift for someone really close to your heart.

For shoppers who remain clueless as to what the best technology-themed gift to get, below are some ideas to consider.

All in One PC

If your recipient is really close to you, such as your sibling, parent, son, or best friend, and you have a good budget to shell out, an all in one PC is a great option to purchase as a gift for Valentine’s Day. All in one PCs can be used for all sorts of applications, from downloading content, listening to music, streaming videos, playing online games, etc. It can also help the recipient for work- or school-related activities. When choosing this idea, make sure you are vigilant on the specifications of the computer you purchase. Assess important factors including memory, storage, processing power, screen size, graphics, and connectivity.

Valentines Day I Love You

Gaming Console

Help your special someone blow off steam after a hard day’s work by shooting some bad guys or taking an exciting adventure across the galaxy. A video game system is a perfect gift for your lover on Valentine’s Day if he/she has a thing for gaming. There are all sorts of gaming consoles available on the market. Make sure the games you choose fit the preferences of your recipient. Apart from gaming, you can also use these gadgets with a TV service carrier to stream videos and navigate through hundreds of channels for quality movie nights.

Phone Accessories

Never underestimate the power of accessories as gifts for gadget lovers. Your lover or best friend may be in need of a new pair of headphones or a screen protector that they can’t buy themselves. Phone accessories are a great idea for people who are shopping on a tight budget, but has his/her options narrowed down to the normally pricey gadget market. If your recipient doesn’t need any hardware accessories for his/her phone or tablet, you can always buy them apps from the online market.

Mobile Phone

Staying connected with peers is an important part of everyday life. Without a mobile phone, your special someone won’t be able to contact a friend or family member during urgent times. Make sure they get to make that important call with a brand new mobile phone. This is, however, an option open to loosely budgeted shoppers who are willing to pay good money for their Valentine’s Day gift.

Camera

Cameras and camcorders are great gift ideas if your special someone loves taking photographs or recording videos. Perhaps your recipient dreams of becoming a filmmaker or professional photographer someday? Surprise him/her with a camera on Valentine’s Day and you’ll surely be the first subject behind the frame.

Overall, keep in mind that Valentine’s Day isn’t about how extravagant your gifts are. Though it sounds cliche, you should always aim for the thought. Your efforts are what counts. A simple mix tape may be more valuable than a pricey brand new laptop or phone.
