You need to go to Devices and Printers option which you can do by Clicking on Control Panel. Then you will see the icons of connected devices including mobiles, Monitor, headphones, CPU, Mouse and printers.
Now Right click on the Printer whose IP address you want to know. Then click on printer properties option.
In general tab look for location where you will find IP address of your printer.

And it’s done.

In case no location shows up in Printer’s properties then make sure to reconnect your cables and check that USB ports are working well.

How to install Apps in your Android Smartphone without any Internet Data Package

This is helpful for those people, who prefer using computers to download apps instead of their Smartphones due to expensive and slow internet data packages. Step 1: Get the APK file in your Computer:

Step 2: Install the App in your Smartphone:

To install the app using an APK file, you’ll need to allow your Android device to accept apps from Unknown Sources. For this, go to Settings>Applications and check the Unknown Source checkbox. Now, there are two methods of installing an App in a Smartphone by using APK file. Both the methods are explained below:

Method 1: By transferring APK file in your Android device’s memory:

Connect your Android device with your computer via USB drive or any other mean you prefer.
Now transfer the APK file from your computer to your device.
After complete transfer, you can disconnect your device with your computer.
Now using the file manager, find the APK file you transferred in 2^nd step from your device.
Tap on the APK file to install it.

Method 2: Using Android SDK and Android USB Drivers:

Download the both and Android USB Drives on your computer.
Connect the SDK in your computer with you Smartphone using USB drives.
Now go to Settings>SD Card>Phone Storage and uncheck the USB Storage checkbox.
Now in your computer, open the Command Prompt and type the following command:
adb install
/.apkIn the above command, instead of
type the path to the APK files and instead of type the name of the APK file.
Now it’s done! The app is installed in your Smartphone.

How To Disable Windows 8 Lock Screen [Quick Tip]

If you are running Windows 8, you must have seen the lock screen every now and then. If you feel irritated with this lock screen and you don’t need it on your system, let me show you how to quickly disable Windows 8 lock screen.

Requirements

All we need is a computer with Windows 8 or higher installed in it. If you want to upgrade to Windows 8.1 follow this guide.

How to Disable Lock Screen from Windows 8?

STEP #1

For this we need to make some changes in registry. For that go to “Run” which you can get by using “Windows + R” combination. Then in Run type “Regedit” and click on “OK”. Registry Editor will open.

STEP #2

Now go to Folder named “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE” in that head over to “SOFTWARE” then go to “POLICIES” from that go to “MICRSOFT” after that “WINDOWS” and lastly to “PERSONALISATION”

STEP #3

Click on personalisation then on right side you will see following screen. Now in the space below you need to create a new DWord rename it as NoLockscreen so that it is easy to remember. Then click on that Lock screen twice and enter its value as 1 then click on OK.

In future if you ever want to reactivate that lock screen change the value to 0 and it’s done.

Mmm.. Don’t you think this process is little bit lengthy? then don’t worry you can do that in two clicks too. Just download this file, unzip it and install it. If you want to disable the lock screen then click on disable button otherwise on enable button then you will see following dialog box just click on “yes” simple as that.

How To Activate USB Debugging Mode In Nexus 7 2013

If you want to root your Nexus 7, one of the main prerequisite is to enable the USB debugging mode. If you don’t have USB debugging mode activated, you might see an error like this when you try to reboot bootloader:

abhishek@itsfoss:~$ adb reboot bootloader
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
error: device not found

How to activate USB debugging mode in Nexus 7 2013:

While I performed this quick tutorial in Nexus 7 2013 WiFi model running Android Kitkat, I think similar steps can be performed on other Android devices as well. To activate USB debugging mode in Nexus 7, follow the steps below:

In your Nexus 7, go to Settings->About Tablet->Build Number
Tap 7 times on the build number. This will enable the Developer option
Go back to the main screen of Settings. Move to the bottom and look for Developer Options.
In Developer Options, move down a bit to find USB Debugging option. Check it to activate it.

That’s all you had to do to activate USB debugging mode in Nexus 7 2013. Next time you connect to your computer you’ll prompted with a message about allowing USB debugging with the connected computer. If it is your own computer, check on Always allow to avoid future prompting of this message.

How To Unlock Nexus 5 Bootloader

The new Nexus 5 has arrived in the market and many will be getting this ultimate device in their hands very soon. And one the first thing to enter in most people’s minds must be unlocking the Bootloader because the Nexus 5 comes with locked Bootloader. Unlocking the Bootloader allows you to install the custom ROM, put on a costume recovery and root it. So in this article, we’ll show you how to unlock Nexus 5 bootloader with a Step-To-Step tutorial.

Warnings:

Unlocking the Bootloader may void the warranty of your Device.
This guide is specifically for Nexus 5. Using this guide for any other device or variant may cause harm.
We are not responsible for any type of damage to your device.
The tutorial has been performed for Windows, but you can also perform this Unlocking on Mac or Linux if you are familiar with Fastboot on them.

Precautions:

Keep the Back Up of all your data as unlocking the bootloader will reset your device to factory settings.
Charge your device before you start the unlocking process. The charging should be above 80% because in case your device goes dead while the processing, it can result in bricking.

Requirements:

Computer System
USB Cable
Android SDK: Download here.
Google USB Drives: Download here.

Instructions:

After downloading the Android SDK and installing the USB Drives. Set up the ADB/Fastboot with Android SDK. Click here to learn how you can do it.
On your Nexus 5, go to Settings>Applications>Development and check the USB Debugging Mode.
Now download the Fastboot and extract it in android-sdk-windowsplatform-tools directory. (Create the directory if it’s not there).
Switch Off your Nexus 5 and access the reboot mode by pressing the Volume up + Volume down + Power Keys for a while. Some text and Start will appear on the screen when your device enters the reboot mode.
Now navigate to android-sdk-windowsplatform-tools directory and open the Command Prompt. Type the following command and press enter.
fastboot oem unlock
Now just simply follow the instructions on the screen of your device. Confirm the Bootloader Unlocking and erase all the data.
After following all the instructions, your Nexus 5 will reboot itself. If not, you can reboot your Nexus 5 by entering the following command in the Command Prompt.
fastboot reboot

If the unlocking process went correctly, you would be able to unlock Nexus 5 bootloader. Now your device is ready for rooting and installation of custom recovery and ROM.
