Hide Pictures and Videos from Android Gallery:

Hide Apps:

To hide apps, you need a rooted device. If your device is rooted, then you can hide apps from “Hide Apps” icon on the main screen of the Hide It Pro app. But if your device is not rooted then you cannot hide the apps. You’ll get this warning when you’ll tap on Hide Apps icon.

Hide Messages and Calls:

To hide messages and calls, you’ll have to download the SMS and Call Blocker Plug-in. When you’ll tap on “Messages” icon from the main screen of the app, you’ll be asked to get that plug-in.

Review: Yet Another Notepad Android App

There are several apps on Android that you can use for quickly jolting down some notes. There is the default Memo app along with a flurry of “high-end” full featured note taking apps in Android. We have Google Keep, Evernote, Any Do and what not. But these apps have multiple features which you might not require if all you want is to quickly take a note. And “” focuses on this functionality only. In the review, I’ll mainly compare it to default Memo app as Yet Another Notepad functions similar to it.

As the name suggests, Y.A.N. (Yet Another Notepad) is a simple note taking app which has a look of Windows’ default note app Notepad. I remember in last decade many people used to carry a small spiral notepad for quick notes. Y.A.N. logo reminds me of the same. And in fact it functions similarly.  You take a quick note, you label it with a subject and it is auto saved. You can share it using a number of social sharing options like Facebook and Dropbox.

It also provides you widget option so that you can quickly access the notes on the home screen. You can increase or decrease the size of the text in the note as well, a feature default Memo app misses.

Misses:

Yet Another Notepad does what it says i.e it takes notes and nothing else. It is light weight, does not look fancy and does not provide fancy features. If you are not happy with Memo and want to replace it with a simple note taking app, you must give Yet Another Notepad a try. Forgot to mention, it is absolutely free.

Uninstall Android Apps Which Says “Uninstall not Successful”

One of the problems Android users face is that they are unable to uninstall some particular apps from their devices. When you try to uninstall Android app from the Settings, it says “Uninstall not Successful” like in the Screen-shot below where I am trying to get rid of AirDroid.

I faced the same problem a little while ago and I almost believed that I can’t uninstall android app because of this nasty Android uninstall not successful error. I was like I have to see these unwanted apps in my drawer and they’ll consume my mobile’s memory forever. But fortunately while I was just trying to find any way to uninstall these apps, luckily I figured it out.

Why you’re unable to uninstall some apps?

The reason is that those apps are running as Device Administrator. Some apps ask for permission to run as the Administrator of your Android device when you launch them. So, there’s no way to uninstall such apps until you disable them as Administrator.

Uninstall Apps which says “Uninstall not Successful”:

It’s very easy to Uninstall Android Apps which say “Uninstall not Successful”. All you have to do is just unselect them from Device Administrators.

Step 1: Unselect the app from Device Administrators:

Go to “Settings” of your android device and the tap on “Location and Security” options from the list. There you’ll find an option “Select device administrators” under “Device administration”, open it. You’ll see a list of apps which are running as Device Administrator. Now unselect the app which you want to uninstall but unable to do so.

Step 2: Try Uninstalling the App:

Now use the normal method of uninstalling the app from Settings> Applications> Manage Applications. You’ll be able to uninstall the app which you un-selected in the First Step.

That’s it! It was easy. Now you don’t have to worry seeing uninstall not successful error any more. Like, you don’t have to worry about unwanted and not delete-able Picasa Photos in the Gallery of your Android device.  You can remove them easily.
