Thanks to Solid Concepts, a famous and well known 3D printing company in Texas, USA for creating such an amazing and astonishing 3D gun which actually works. The company didn’t use any kind of plastic for making this gun, but a high quality metal. Solid Concepts also used a laser sintering process to make it a compatible weapon. The design of the gun is based on an ancient handgun of 1911. Various other high performing components such as stainless steel, inconel elements, carbon fiber and nylon handgrip are empowered in the new 3D-printed metal gun.

The company officials seem to be very excited about their new innovation. In an interview one of their representatives say,

“The gun has already handled 50 rounds of successful firing. We’re proving this is possible, the technology is at a place now where we can manufacture a gun with 3D Metal Printing”.

Mr. Kent Firestone, the CEO of Solid Concepts say that we are definitely sure that our new creation would prove to be a much better and exciting option than the previous 3D gun which seemed to be non-effective and unworkable.

Please don’t forget that the first 3D printed gun was manufactured by Defense Distributed (another company in Texas). But due to its limited specs and plastic body, the liberator (first 3D printed gun) failed to grasp the attention of the world. But we can expect that the new 3D-printed gun would really rock the worldwide markets and win the hearts of the people who were disappointed with Liberator.

Personally, I would like the 3D food printer to be a success rather than the 3D printed gun. After all, we need more food than guns in this world.
