Bitdefender is one of the best antivirus programs, which currently incorporates a new technology called Photon. Those of you who are worried about computer privacy and the possibility of having their machines infected by malware (which is likely to freeze your computer and cause all kinds of trouble) should definitely give Bitdefender a try.
How is Bitdefender Internet Security better?
If you are using a free antivirus software to protect your computer potential malware attacks, then I am surprised that you think you can rely on those free cleanups, as they are usually not very good. Luckily, according to Bitdefender Antivirus, the new Photon technology is able to visibly improve the speed and performance of your computer in a matter of minutes. This technology actually molds your PC privacy and keeps your system files secured, thus removing all the malware from your system. Unfortunately, Bitdefender Free Antivirus does not seem to be quite as effective as the popular paid version, Bitdefender Internet Security 2014.
Reliable Malware Blocking System:
I found this software to be a reliable malware blocker. It automatically diverts the browser to a warning page to let us know whether the site you are about to land on is secured or not. At the time I was about to download my current malware collection, BitDefender Internet Security immediately blocked ninety percent of the still-valid URLs. I wasn’t certain if the same functionality was present in the free version, so I had to try that out on my second computer to be sure. What really amazed me was the same feature was present in the free antivirus as well.
Protection from Social Media Networks:
Bitdefender software (whether it’s a free version or a premium version) ensures your protection from the different types of attacks or threats that may occur on social media websites. The day I installed this software, I found it to be equally efficient while using Facebook, Twitter and Linked-in profiles. It protected my computer from potentially dangerous and spammy links, thus thanks to BitDefender, my privacy was maintained.
In case someone sends you suspicious URLs via social media platforms, BitDefender’s automatic scan initiates its working and blocks the URL in no time.
Difficulty in Installation:
Although the Bitdefender Internet Security is overall a nice antivirus software, it still comes with some drawbacks. The one drawback I observed was its pre-install scan problem. When I tried to install this software to check on its efficiency, I found that the installation took way too much time. It almost took two to three hours, and by the time it was finished, I had almost given up. But eventually, I managed to install it. The next problem was the improper scan, which damaged many of my critical files suspecting them to be infected. I have a habit of collecting logs for tech support and running fix-scripts on my system. I found that Bitdefender was again taking too much time in scanning those heavy files, but it eventually did it.
Summing this up, I would like to brief the pros and cons of Bitdefender.
