Unlock Boot loader of your device

You need to unlock the boot loader of your device in order to root it. For that head over to HTC Dev site . It is a compulsory step.

TWRP Recovery

download

Transfer recovery

Transfer TWRP to the folder where you kept ADB and fastboot then, rename TWRP extension to .img

Go to Command Prompt

Go to Command Prompt of your system by typing cmd in start Menu and go to folder where you kept the above files.

Use button combination

Boot in fastboot with the help of power and volume down combination. Navigate to Fastboot option using Volume buttons and select with the help of power button. After all this connect your device to PC.

Flash TWRP

In command prompt write fastboot flash recovery.img and this command will flash TWRP then restart your phone.

Flash SuperUser
