7 Old Childhood Games On Android

No doubt that everybody miss his/her childhood, like I do. I also miss those old classic games I used to play with my friends, brothers and sisters, and that precious time I spent with them. I used to love playing games with them.  When the school’s last ring goes on, I rush back to home and spending less than 15 minutes there I rush to my friend’s house asking him to pull the game out of the closet. We used play about 2 to 3 hours daily. It used to be a really Great time, or I can say Best time. “No Tension and No Worries, Just fun”. Also not forgetting the games we used play in the class room on the last pages of our note books.

So just while I was missing those days, I thought to search for some of those old games on the Google Play Store. Luckily I’ve found seven of them and now I play each of those seven games with my friends almost daily. It’s like Old Days are back. So if you too want to have that old childhood fun again with your friends the check out this list below of “7 old Childhood Games on Android for you to download for free.

Playing board games can be a really fun way to pass time and it’s getting very popular nowadays in smartphones. If you are also one of those people who love to play board games in his smartphone, we have a traditional board game for you today called “” for Android smartphones. It is a very popular strategy board game in the villages of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Let’s see if this game is worth playing or not.

You can play the board game as tigers chasing the goats or goats trying to save themselves from the tigers. You get three tigers to control if you play as the tigers and you can move your tiger an unoccupied node during your turn along the line connecting the nodes together. You have to capture 5 goats to win the game.

Angry Birds Game Maker Rovio to release Angry Pigs?

Every dog has its day but it seems even pigs have their day. If rumours to be believed, Rovio’s famed game franchise Angry Birds has its newest version in pipeline and guess what? In contrast to the earlier theme of the game where you had to target the pigs, you will end up saving them in the new series which is supposed to be called as “Angry Birds Pigs Edition”.

There are several Angry Birds rip offs available here and there that could be termed as Angry Pigs but this one comes officially from Rovio. Mind it that it is not a new game series as in “Angry Pigs” but it is an edition of existing Angry Birds where you have to help the pigs survive the attacks of the birds trying to reclaim their eggs.

The game is expected to arrive by the year end. Will you like to switch the sides in this epic war between birds and pigs? Do let us know.

Gaming on budget: Play old school legacy games with DosBox on your computer.

There are many people, who just can’t forget that sweet era of classic computer games, when there weren’t that many computers, people came together to play the newest and coolest Warcraft installation, or to shoot a few more aliens with Duke Nukem. For me the golden era of computer games was in the middle of the nineties. I remember that we were amazed by the “superior” graphics, the humor, and if we played an RPG, the deep storyline. I still cherish these times. The days are long gone, when a bunch of us gathered to play a game, the sole computer in the room evolved to a LAN party, then network game. Heck, if I would play a game nowadays, I would never see my opponents face, the most of I would get is an avatar, and I believe kinda hard to befriend with a picture. However if you still want some old-school fun this is possible in a cross-platform way. DosBox is an emulator which makes running old games a breeze. Actually, the software is made for running DOS games easily across multiple platforms, unlike FreeDos, which is a complete operating system, and makes possible to run legacy applications. DosBox runs on Linux, MacOS X, Windows, and a couple of other systems. [Read more…]

Game of the week: WGT Golf Challange

Google Chrome has a fair collection of games, probably the largest collection of browser games. WGT Golf Challenge is one such game which has lots of good features and eye candy. You never feel like you are playing a browser game. Since it has good graphics, playing it on a slow network may not be such a good idea. Broadband network will give a full Golf experience. Game is totally Free because there are significant advertisements during the game when it reloads after every shot (to some extent, irritating). In any case, for Golf Lovers its a good treat. Here is a link to download the game:

Your views and feedback are most welcome. Enjoy Golfing :)
