Google’s popular group video chat feature, hangout, has been ported to Gmail. Which means you don’t need to go to Google Plus every time you want to create a hangout. Now you can do it right from your inbox.

Hangout lest you video chat with 9 other users, you can also share a you tube video, text chat etc at the same time.

How to start a hangout in Gmail:

Go to your chat list. Look for the “video camera” icon. Click on it to start a hangout:

When you click on it, it will give you option of inviting people to hangout:

Prerequisite: You must have a Google Plus account. Without that hangouts are not possible. You won’t be shown the option of hangout if you are not Google Plus.
