Facebook Home was unable to stand on our expectations but some of its features were really great like “Chat Heads”. Chat Heads notification feature is really an attracting one. The app which we’ll be talking about in this article is “Floating Touch” and its developers have also included that “Chat Head” feature in their app. Floating touch is specially designed for Android devices.
This app provides you with a button which floats over the screen and can be moved anywhere. Doesn’t matter which other app you are using or wherever you are on your device, this floating bottom will be there which allow you to access other apps without even closing your current app.
When you tap on the floating button, a circular floating panel will appear on the middle of the screen from where you can find the shortcuts to your favorite apps and commonly used switches.

Customize Panel Functions:
You can customize the panel and choose the most used switches and your favorite apps. Tap on “+” button and you’ll be directed to a list of various switches. If you swipe to left you can choose the apps from the list. In case you want to remove any shortcut or app from the panel, just long press the icon for a while. Also some shortcuts need root access like “Back” and “Home’ shortcuts.

Create Folders:
The panel can carry utmost 8 shortcuts or apps. But it’s not a problem because there’ an option to create a folder where you can put all you other apps. Bit this feature is only for premium users.

Change Floating Button Style:
You can also change the looks and color of the floating button. You can choose your favorite one from the given options. There’s another option which is called “DIY”. This option allows you to choose any personal image to use as the floating button. But this feature is also for only Premium users.
You can also change the Size and Alpha (Opacity) of the floating button from there. -
Change Panel’s Color:
The panel color can also be changed under “Panel” settings of the app. There you have options of colors like Green, Pink, Blue etc.
Other Shortcut Features:
“Floating Touch” app provides various shortcut switches which you can access from the panel. The switches are listed below:
- Clear Memory
- Recent Apps: Long Press the “Clear Memory” icon to see recent apps or double tap the floating button
- Volume Up
- Volume Down
- Lock Screen
- Home (Need Root Access)
- Menu
- Back (Need Root Access)
- Flashlight
- System Switches: System Switches include Ring mode, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, APN (Mobile Network), Rotation, Airplane mode and Brightness. If you long press the System Switches icon then you’ll be directed to System Settings.
To hide the Floating Button, long hold the button and the app will go to notification bar. Tap on the notification to re-launch the Floating button on the screen.

I have to say that I don’t see any problem in this app but a little lack of response was noticeable.

So overall, the “Floating Touch” is really a “Must Check out” app. Its various interesting features make our Android experience a lot easier and quick. With various customization options and features like clear memory and DIY, Floating Touch is really standing above other similar apps being a little unique. Lack of response could be a little problem but this lacking is not hanging or a large time lacking. So, it’s not a big problem there.
